Exam Packs

We had an awesome time handing out exam packs to students who are in the midst of their finals on three of our local campuses over the past two weeks. Please pray for the recipients, that they would be able to study well and succeed on their last tests for the semester!

If you are a college student who has not received an exam pack, please let us know, because we have some left that we want to hand out.

We have switched rooms for our Sunday AM Connect Group. We are now meeting in Theatre 2, which is on the left when you enter the theatre lobby. The theatre is by the lakeside glass double doors, and there is a huge Converge logo over the indoor entrance. We still worship together at 9:30 AM, we still meet at 11 AM for our Connect group, we still have coffee, and we still have a great time discussing God’s amazing Word!

Remember that we’re back on schedule this week. Truth Project is happening in room 650 at 6 PM, and Merge is happening in the theatre at 7 PM. Lifestores Cafe will be open again, too. See you Wednesday night!!!!!!!

Easter Sunday: Passover Seder w/ Pastor Mark

Don’t miss Converge Connect Group this Sunday, April 4th at 11 AM for a unique and moving experience for Easter. We’ll be going through a traditional Passover Seder with Pastor Mark Bedwell, tying it to the death and resurrection of Christ in an amazing way. You will definitely want to be a part of it.

Remember what happened this week in history. Jesus went to the cross on our behalf. He lay in the grave for three days. He rose from the dead and conquered sin and death. We, by faith, join in that victory.

Thank you, Jesus, for saving us by Your amazing grace!

Have a blessed week, and we’ll see you Sunday, peeps (not the candy ones…)!

SPRING FORWARD :\ and other notes for Sunday, 3/14/10

Don’t forget that this Saturday night is the dreaded “Spring Forward” night, the one we all look forward to all year ’round. (This means that you need to set your clocks ahead one hour at midnight (technically), which also means that you lose an hour, if you were unaware of the ramifications of what it meant to “spring”. Personally, I find this word much too positive-sounding for such an event. Instead, they should be reversed: Fall forward, and Spring backward. I think we all could get behind such a change, but I digress…)

This Sunday, I will be guiding our discussion about purpose, and in what ways God has given us purpose as His creation and as His children. Don’t miss it! I hope you’re all having a great week!

I Love My Church is this Sunday!

Don’t forget about I Love My Church this Sunday! We’re going to meet for our regular hour of worship in the Worship Center at 9:30, but at 11:00 we will be in the Student Warehouse (where we were for the Super Bowl Party) for an hour of fellowship!

The Converge movie night was a great bundle of fun! We ate popcorn and enjoyed Night at the Museum 2.

We’re rolling right into the Spring semester! It’s been a busy few weeks for all of us with getting classes in order, fixing financial aid and everything else that comes along with being a college student! It can be a very hectic process, but remember to keep Christ at the center of it all! He’s what holds everything together even when it feels like it’s about to fall apart.

Read Psalm 136 for some encouragement.
